It's Friday!!!!

Tonight is the night!

 The online crop for Scrapbook Nerds is tonight!

I made this layout of REX, gotta love that sweet face...

 

 

and with the scraps of the layout, I made this simple card.

National Scrapbooking Day

 

Saturday is the day!!  I can't wait, even though I am working all weekend, it's the one day of the year that we all get together and scrapbook together, online or with friends!

 

I will be joining Scrapbook Nerds online in their forum for their first ever online crop!  And did I mention....I'M ON THE DESIGN TEAM!!

 

So, this will be the new DT's first online crop with SN and also SN's first online crop!!  How cool is that!!  I can't wait.  There should be tons of inspiration and lots of prizes to be won, yes, I said it prizes and lots of them.  Here's a hint, there is a grand prize, $$$ to spend in their online store.

 

Here is a peak at what I have created just for the online crop, and I have a challenge for you that will posted Friday night, stay tuned for more details on Friday!

I'm officially a NERD!!

A Scrapbook Nerd that is!

 

I made the Design Team!!

I took the step and applied for a DT on the 22nd of April...just went for it, didn't think I would get it, but I did!!!!  I am officially on the Design Team for ...

I am so excited to be able to create for another Canadian company!!

Unfortunately the quality of my pics are not that great at night. You know with the no natural light and all that, but anyways, I wanted to share one more before I called it a night!  Oh and it doesn't help that my camera is kaput...I'll have to use my cell to take pics for a little bit, or at least until I decide to get a new camera.

Playing with Paper

Happy Sunday!  So what are all of you up today, I am doing housework and playing in my craft room.  Really just pushing paper around until I get the inspiration to create!  Last night I decided to get a little crafty and create this LO, I love how it turned out!!

National Scrapbooking Weekend

Prima Live Ustream Winner!!

OMG!!  I was checking out one of the live videos they have on Ustream, and I won something, not sure what it is, but I won something just for being there and chatting.

Ok, well I actually won this on March 15, and am still waiting for my prize to arrive...I can't wait to see what I won.  There is nothing better than scrappy surprises in the mail!!

A few Layouts to share!

It's been a little bit since I posted so I thought I would share a few things that I've done in the past Month, which isn't very much.  Actually I think there is more but not quite sure what else. 

 

Here are two 8.5x11 Layouts, I wanted to try out the size since I've never created anything besides 12x12, and well, I kind of like the size, but I do find it more challenging to create on such a smaller scale.  So really, I think I may just stick with my usual 12x12. But I do like how they turned out.

 

 

 

Lets Capture our Memories is having a card challenge month, and this is challenge #1.  Challenge #1 was in to use the word Spring and use elements that start with each of the letters of the word:

 

S - Stitching (my first time stitching by machine on a card)

P - Punch

R - Ribbon

I - Ink

N - Newsprint stamp

G - Glimmer mist spray

 

It actually turned out pretty good and I like it!!

 

 

And as some of you know I went to Crop & Create Moncton for the first time this year.  Well, I took 3 classes (I'll share those LO's and projects later on), I used up some of the scraps from one of the classes to create this layout of my older son when he was in grade 3, I love it!!  It turned out just the way I wanted it to.

 

Well, that's it for now, I'm off to do up my next blog post and take a few pics of some other projects I was working on, and also the layouts I created at Crop & Create.

Sad Day...

Today is a sad day for me, I had to say goodbye unexpectedly to a furry member of the family.  My cat, Rex, had been missing for 2 days. Which is very unusual for him, as he usually was home every night at the same time for his treats and cuddles with mommy.  But last night he didn't come home, as much as I called him,he just didn't come home and he was not one to wonder as he was getting older (16yo), and like to stay around the house.  This morning I tried calling him again he did not come home....looked all around the house & even in the camper before heading out to work.  Well, when I got home tonight, I tried calling him again, and I spotted him laying under a bush in the back yard....unfortunately he was not coming home. I'll miss him, he was part of our family for 16yrs. 

He'll be missed for a long time.
