Sad Day...

Today is a sad day for me, I had to say goodbye unexpectedly to a furry member of the family.  My cat, Rex, had been missing for 2 days. Which is very unusual for him, as he usually was home every night at the same time for his treats and cuddles with mommy.  But last night he didn't come home, as much as I called him,he just didn't come home and he was not one to wonder as he was getting older (16yo), and like to stay around the house.  This morning I tried calling him again he did not come home....looked all around the house & even in the camper before heading out to work.  Well, when I got home tonight, I tried calling him again, and I spotted him laying under a bush in the back yard....unfortunately he was not coming home. I'll miss him, he was part of our family for 16yrs. 

He'll be missed for a long time.

My Scraps & More - Challenge #1

I have been following My Scraps & More's Birthday Sketch-a-Thon challenges and have finally been able to complete one of the challenges.

I had so much fun last night with this challenge, I haven't been scrapping all the much lately and found that I need more inspiration these days to get my mojo going...winter does quite a number on my creativity, I am totally drained!  But this was just the boost I needed!

Negativity

 

 

Have you ever had some people in your life that just were not good for you?  Well, I have discovered that I have quite a few negative people that needed to be cut out, I don't need to have them trying to bring me down anymore, using me, hurting me...I've just had enough! 

 

People can be so hurtful at times and I admit I am not perfect and have been hurtful to others as well, but I try to now stay away from all that drama and for some reason it still seeps its way into your life.

 

I am no longer be a doormat.

I will no longer be hurt.

I will stand up for what I believe in.

I will not be let down.

I will be true to who I am.

and...

 

I promise from this point on I will try and surround myself with only people that are good for me...I try and follow this little saying...

 

Free yourself from negative people.
Spend time with nice people who are smart, driven and like minded.

Relationships should help you, not hurt you.

Surround yourself with people who reflect the person you want to be.
Choose friends who you are proud to know, people you admire, who love and respect you –

people who make your day a little brighter simply by being in it.
Life is too short to spend time with people who suck the happiness out of you.

 

 

My Little Scrap Space & a few Layouts

It's been a bit since I posted so I thought I would give you a little peak at my scrap space.  It's not much, but it is a dedicated craft room for me and a little spot for my little guy to use as well.

Here is a before pic. I decided it was time to organize my room a couple of months ago. After purchasing a few Jetmax cubes from Michael's, it was finally time to get my room put together again.  So as you can see it is quite messy, I had a lot of supplies on my little guys old change table, well it was time to get rid of it.

I love the new space it has given me by getting rid of the change table! I find it now easier to find what I am looking for and it is so much brighter now in my little space! Someday though, I will have my room downstairs, but for now this is perfect for me!

 

Here's my little helper! When he wants attention, he comes and sits right on the table in front of me!! 

 

That was my creative space, and now here is a couple of layouts I have created in the past month!

 

The first two layouts were created for My Scraps and More Sketches, so far I am loving doing there sketches, so much fun, and the bonus is you can win a monthly prize!

 

 

The last two layout I did for an online crop with Let's Capture our Memories, love that place, so many great people. Bonus for me...it's a local place!!

LCOM always puts on a really great online crop with lots of challenges and lots of prizes!! I am so hoping to play along as much as I can. If your a scrapper, you don't want to miss this!!

A day to myself...

I was so happy to have a day to myself yesterday, I did nothing at all....actually I scrapped all day and watched Pretty Little Liars (I'm hooked on that show now).

I worked on a few sketches from different sites, and also had fun playing along with an online crop.  It was just so nice to sit and just create with no distraction except my own. 

So here is what I created, I made this layout for the Creative Scrappers Blog and also used it for part of the My Scraps and More online crop.

I've been getting messy..

Wow!  It feels good to just sit and create.  I missed my "ME" time.  Now that the little guy is 4, he actually lets me have some more time to create and just do my own thing, he is actually entertaining himself more and more....Mommy loves this!!!

So I have created another Layout using a sketch from My Scraps & More Sketches I am loving all these challenge blogs!

I can't wait to work on a few more sketches at My Scraps & More Sketches and also at Boys Rule.  Anyways, I've been having fun checking out all the different challenges around the blogs these days and wow there are so many!!

Found my MOJO!!

Wow!  After not scrapping for so long,  I think I have found my Mojo again!!  Last night I created 15 Christmas cards for next year.  And today I created two LOs! 

 

I was looking for a sketch challenge and found one at Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits and decided to just go for it. Well, I did, and I created two layouts from their December sketches, I love both the LO's!
